Job description
The role of a front-end web developer would best be filled by a professional who can combine the art of design with the art of programming. It will be important to be able to translate UI/UX design wireframes to code that will produce visual elements of the application. Someone who takes initiative, enjoys finding solutions to challenges, is detail-oriented, and takes pride in their work will go far in this position.
Job responsibilities
- Work on multiple client projects for multiple teams
- Develop new user-facing features
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
- Develop and maintain Wordpress themes within best practices
- Ability to code a page as close to “pixel perfect” as possible
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
- Take ownership of projects and optimization
- Communicate clearly and openly with all team members
- Utilize creative problem solving to provide solutions and explanations for challenges
- Develop and build out responsive emails and email templates
- Manage project tasks, timelines, and communication
- Perform routine site maintenance as needed.
Skills And Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant work experience as a front-end developer
- Advanced understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
- Proficient understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as SASS Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery

- Proficient understanding of Wordpress theme development, database management, error handling, Custom Post Types, Advanced Custom Fields etc.
- Experience building custom designs with page builders like Elementor and Webflow
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
- Proficient knowledge of task runners like Gulp and Grunt
- Basic understanding of PHP, MySQL
- Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image.
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Good understanding of technical SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them
- Experience using third-party api for dynamic integrations
- Basic understanding of back-end services/servers and persistent storage
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks like React and Angular are a plus
- Backend knowledge of C#, .NET, MVC, WebAPI a plus
